The Spyderco Manbug has a thick, muscular flat-ground ZDP-189 blade. ZDP-189 steel is manufactured in Japan and classified by knife industry standards as exotic for its remarkable hardness and enhanced capacity for edge retention. It is made using powdered metallurgy technology. The handle is made of British Racing Green FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) with a mid-spine positioned back-lock that features a David Boye Dent. Manbugs are clipless, designed for carry inside a pocket or affixed to a key chain threaded through the lined lanyard hole.
