Folks do I have a gem find for you today. This old Remington Cutlery 1153 English Jack knife is an absolute beautiful knife. The tang stamp on this one reads “REMINGTON U.M.C MADE IN U.S.A” which would date this knife to the early 1900’S. This knife is near mint condition, it has been cleaned. It has the old “REMINGTON TRADEMARK” blade etch. It has beautiful jig bone handles with great color and look fantastic and match the threaded bolsters perfectly. There is no cracks in the handle which is getting harder to find on the old collectible knives. Folks you do not want to miss out on this great collector’s item. BONE WARNING NOTE: Bone is a natural material prone to cracking. Therefore, some knives may have cracks near the pins or bolsters. Will be noted if cracks are visible.
Description
Remington’s old carbon steel blade, with gorgeous jig bone handles. Nickel silver threaded bolsters and pins with brass liners. Main Spear 3 5/8”, Pen Blade 2 ½”. Blade thickness is 1/16”. Closed length is 4 1/2”. Made in the U.S.A. Tang stamps read “Schrade Cut Co. Walden N.Y”.
