Here we have an example of why Jay Hendrickson is in fact a “Mastersmith” in the knife making community. This hunter is a beautiful piece of art, which features a gorgeous mirror polished stainless steel blade and an astonishing curly maple handle which has silver wire inlays on both sides with a stag guard which make for a beautiful combination. The sheath was custom made by Jay as well and is a very quality sheath with very thick leather which will hold up to a lot of usage over many years. This knife has a tang stamp that reads “HENDRICKSON” on the front and “M.S” on the back for Mastersmith. There’s a sheath stamp that reads “HENDRICKSON M.S 2007 5160”.
